EXTENSIVE FREE SEMINAR PROGRAMME AND MORE AT WORLD OF LEARNING

29 June 2010

With a free seminar programme that is more extensive than ever and a host of helpful features, in addition to the many conference speakers and exhibitors, the World of Learning Conference & Exhibition 2010 will be the most impressive and information-packed learning and development (L&D) event yet when it takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 September.

The free seminar programme, sponsored by TrainingZone.co.uk, will feature more sessions across two theatres, all offering practical advice on the key issues affecting L&D professionals today, with learning practitioners and experts sharing their experience through case studies.

Among the organisations to be profiled in the seminars will be the NHS, npower, Ford of Europe, British Airways, Netto, British Telecom, Royal Bank of Canada, Royal Mail, Santander and the British Library.

The seminars will cover issues such as: calculating return on investment efficiently; enhancing CPD; how to produce successful blended learning; designing and delivering e-learning; the psychology behind engaging training design; motivating employees to learn online; and utilising internal resources to deliver in-house training. Full details of the seminar programme are available at http://www.learnevents.com/free-seminars.php.

In addition to the comprehensive seminar programme, World of Learning visitors will also be able to take advantage of the many specialised zones and interactive workshops throughout the two-day event.

New zones for 2010
The Social Media Zone, Professional Development Zone and International Zone feature as new areas at the exhibition this year. The Social Media Zone will give visitors the chance to learn about social media networks and how to harness their huge potential as an asset in learning activities. In the first ever Professional Development Zone, facilitated by the British Institute for Learning & Development, L&D professionals will be able to consult experts one-to-one about all aspects of their career development. Facilitated by UK Trade & Investment, international buyers and decision-makers can meet leading suppliers of L&D products and services at the new International Zone.

Interactive features
Many ever-popular, often interactive, features including the Skills Workshops, Experiential Learning Zone, The Trainer Base, Workplace Wellness Zone and the Business & Networking Lounge also ensure that the World of Learning remains the L&D industry’s most essential event.

“L&D is constantly evolving and its importance is increasingly recognised on business agendas as the economic climate and workplace evolve and the importance of maximising staff engagement develops,” commented Andrew Gee, Senior Project Manager for the World of Learning Conference & Exhibition.

“At the World of Learning, all the elements, from the conference and free seminar programme to the exhibitors and features for visitors, combine to give industry members the ultimate opportunity to learn about the latest strategies and solutions available.”
